David K. Moose, M.D., D.D.S.
Dr. Moose is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received double majors in Biology and Psychology. Dr. Moose attended medical school at the University of Southern California. He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his General Surgery and residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, with honors, at the University of Southern California Medical Center. Dr. Moose completed one of a select few cosmetic surgery fellowship programs in the United States to meet the accreditation standards by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. These prestigious fellowships offer exposure to world-renowned cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons and assure extensive didactic and clinical training in all aspects of cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Moose’s unique background and training has allowed him to integrate ideas and techniques from various surgical disciplines, giving him a particularly keen insight into cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Moose has published and lectured on numerous topics in facial and cosmetic surgery. Most recently, Dr. Moose was invited to present his published research on Laparoscopic Roux en Y Gastric Bypass Surgery at the Southern California Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. His current research, Secondary Supratip Deformity: A Closer Look at Etiology, focuses on unique and challenging aspects of rhinoplasty (nose surgery) and is pending publication.
Dr. Moose is a member of both the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a co-founder of the Institute of Facial and Cosmetic Surgery with Dr. Suketu I. Patel. Dr. Moose serves as the medical director of the Northern Virginia Wellness Center and is a member of the Western Maryland Cleft Lip and Palate team. He is a devoted family man and resides in Maryland with his wife of eleven years. His personal interests include college sports and private aviation.
Suketu I. Patel, M.D., D.M.D.
Dr. Patel, a board certified surgeon, is in private practice limited to facial and cosmetic surgery in Leesburg, Virginia. Dr. Patel chose to pursue the artistic science of facial and cosmetic surgery in the ‘European tradition,’ where specialization in facial surgery requires both a medical and dental degree. After completing his education, Dr. Patel trained under Dr. Brent Kennedy, a renowned national and international cosmetic surgeon and mentor.
Dr. Patel graduated from the University of Southern California School of Medicine with honors. He then completed an internship year in General Surgery, and completed a full residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Southern California. During internship and residency, Dr. Patel did surgical rotations with multiple plastic surgeons and oculoplastic surgeons to round out his cosmetic surgery experience. After residency, Dr. Patel completed a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. This fellowship allowed Dr. Patel to train exclusively and intensely in cosmetic surgery where he performed over 600 cosmetic procedures with board certified Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, Facial Plastic Surgeons, and Cosmetic Surgeons.
Dr. Patel is dedicated to providing his patients with the newest technology and highest quality of care. Dr. Patel is board certified and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, International Association of Hair Restoration and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He co-founded the Institute of Facial and Cosmetic Surgery with Dr. David K. Moose. Dr. Patel resides in Leesburg, Virginia with his wife, Shirali, and their newborn son.
Louis D. Potyondy, M.D.
Dr. Potyondy was born in Budapest, but grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles after his parents immigrated to the United States.
Dr. Potyondy’s credentials attest to his commitment to excellence. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree with Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors at the University of California, he completed a medical degree from Loma Linda University in Southern California.
At this point, he pursued General Surgery training at the Huntington Memorial Hospital, a University of Southern California affiliate in Pasadena, CA. This was followed by completion of advanced residency training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Fort Lauderdale, where he learned the latest techniques in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Potyondy has been prolific in his contributions to clinical research in the field of both cosmetic surgery and plastic surgery. He has published several ground breaking papers. His latest publication in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal focuses on the benefits and applications of biotechnology in the field of cosmetic surgery. He has been featured on NBC news as a respected and trusted name in the field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Potyondy is a devoted family man. He enjoys exercising and traveling with his wife of 7 years and their dog Sophie.
